Spotlight Session: Samples and Examples: Acceptable Use Policies for Generative AI

Generative AI (GenAI) is a rapidly evolving technology with the potential to transform education. However, its integration into schools and districts raises concerns about privacy, data security, bias, and equity. This session will present sample language for responsible, ethical, and effective acceptable use policies (AUPs) for the integration of GenAI in schools and districts. Participants will learn about the key principles and considerations for developing the policies and explore sample AUPs from various districts. They will also have the opportunity to discuss and share their own experiences with developing and implementing GenAI policies.
