Learn how 65 school districts across New York State are using collaborative community frameworks that leverage virtual learning appropriately to create new and sustainable instructional models and opportunities for students through inter-district cooperation. These frameworks take the best distance learning practices used in past collaborations and synthesize them with more recently developed creative and innovative instructional approaches in virtual learning. These evolving approaches are tackling significant district challenges, including teacher shortages and student SEL & medical barriers.
Participants in this session will have opportunities to reflect and discuss how these frameworks can more permanently shift what learning environments can (and potentially should) look like in their respective schools. These collaboration and reflection activities will provide participants with opportunities to both: 1. build understanding, and 2. model strategic planning practices for subsequent use with community stakeholders to further develop virtual learning solutions that fit within their respective school environments.
