Shane Smith, CETL

Shane Smith began his career as a public school educator in 2005 as middle school math teacher. Shane has also served as a campus instructional technology specialist and digital learning coordinator; he is now the Director of Technical Services in Irving Independent School District in Irving, Texas. In his current role, Shane’s team supports all end users, user devices, and level 1 support cases for devices and applications. Shane has a passion for 1:1 technology for students as well 24/7 sufficient and reliable access to resources. Shane is a member of and has previously presented for TENOR (Technology Educator Non-Official Roundtable), TETL (Texas Education Technology Leaders), TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association), CoSN (Consortium for School Network), and VILS (Verizon Innovative Learning Schools). Shane aspires to be a CTO in public education.
