Michael G. Fort, CETL, is a 30-year veteran of Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS), the 22nd largest school system in the United States, Michael has held many roles. Starting as an elementary school teacher and then technology teacher for early learners. Michael developed interactive software for use with early learners in his early career. This led him to central office where he started as a resource teacher helping to train staff members in the use of educational technology. Training adults is a passion of Michael's. Eventually Michael began working for the Department of Technology as a Team Leader helping to coordinate technology support for one-fifth of the school system. Continuing his role in educational technology Michael moved to the division of Curriculum and Instruction as an ed tech specialist then supervisor. While in this role Michael helped to begin a Computer Science and Innovation program for elementary students. His current role in BCPS is Manager of Customer Service in the Office of Technology Operations. Here Michael oversees the system's help desk, remote support technicians, on-site technicians, and school-based technology liaisons.
Michael is a father of three adult children and drummer and singer for a local Baltimore cover band.
