Rich has been the Chief Technology Officer for Hilliard City Schools since 2010. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for Hilliard and 10 years as a teacher in two different school districts teaching music, technology and gifted education. Over the past seven years, Rich has helped lead the district through a One2One rollout involving all 16,500 students. In 2019, Hilliard Schools received the WOSU Distinguished District Award for exceptional technology integration. Rich was selected as Innovator of the Month for the Technological Horizons in Education Journal and participated in a national education radio show on Blended Learning. He has presented at conferences for ISTE, the National School Board Association, the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators, the Council of the Great City Schools, the Ohio School Board Association, the Ohio Educational Technology Conference, and the Learn21 CoSN Conference.
