Kelly Hilton has been with the San Ramon Unified School District since 2021, starting as an Instructional Technology Coordinator before becoming the Director of Technology. Her diverse career in California's public schools since 1999 includes roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, EdTech consultant, professional development specialist, and site administrator. This extensive background has given her a profound insight into educational dynamics, enhancing her effectiveness in leadership roles.

A key achievement of Kelly's is the creation of HyperDocs, a set of digital lesson plans incorporating interactive and multimedia elements that have redefined technological pedagogy in education. This innovation has not only improved teaching strategies but also cultivated a global network of educators eager to integrate technology in meaningful ways. Kelly's efforts underscore her dedication to using technology to spark innovation, increase accessibility, and boost student engagement, reflecting her visionary stance on educational reform.

In her current role, Kelly emphasizes the seamless incorporation of technology across the organization to bolster instructional and informational technology. She leads her team in a proactive IT strategy that promotes collaboration across all sites and departments, focusing on the deployment of secure, efficient, and visionary tech solutions. Kelly's leadership aims to reframe IT's role within the district as a catalyst for Innovation and Transformation Support, enhancing every aspect of the educational environment. Through her guidance, the objective is not just to upgrade tech infrastructure, but also to nurture an innovative culture that aligns with the district's six strategic directions: Deep Learning and Innovation, Equity, Social and Emotional Well-Being, Stewardship of Resources, Culture of Responsiveness and Shared Leadership
