Reg Leichty is an attorney with expertise in education, student and children’s privacy, and technology law and policy. He founded Foresight Law + Policy, a prominent education law firm in Washington, D.C.
Reg's work encompasses a wide range of policy issues affecting public and private education, with a particular emphasis on the broadband connectivity and digital learning policies that impact schools, postsecondary institutions, and other community anchor institutions. He has extensive experience navigating the complex federal laws and regulations that govern the education sector, including the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and the Telecommunications Act’s Schools and Libraries Program (E-rate).
