John Seylar is a senior research associate for the Center of Inclusive Innovation at Digital Promise. For the past six years, John’s work has focused on meaningful technology use in schools and on teacher professional development programs. During this time, he has studied and evaluated various initiatives utilizing emerging technologies and instructional coaching for clients such as Google, Adobe, Verizon, and several state and federal grants. Currently, John is exploring methods to quantify technology-facilitated learning to better map and understand digital divides in public schools. John hopes to make learning with technology more meaningful and exciting for students and help educators meaningfully integrate technology into their practice. He also hopes to work with education leaders on how to create an up-to-date understanding of how to measure the impact of technology on student learning.
