Dr. Karla Burkholder, CETL is veteran educator and ed tech leader currently serving as the Deputy Director of Texas Education Technology Leaders and Professor of Practice at Baylor University. She is known for her extensive knowledge of educational technology, innovation and leadership, and has shared her expertise with educators at the state and national levels. Dr. Burkholder served on the Board of Directors of Texas Education Technology Leaders for three years, the Board of Directors of TCEA for eight years, most recently as past president, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Texas ASCD. She is the author of numerous articles on educational technology topics, a recipient of the ISTE Making IT Happen Award and the Texas Council of Women School Executives Bravo Award for Innovation and was named to the EdTech Digest 2019 Top 100 Influencers in EdTech. Dr. Burkholder earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Education and Master of Science in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems at the University of North Texas and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeaster University.
