Building a Future Ready School, Literally: 10 Lessons in Construction

The Avon Grove School District recently opened a brand new, future ready, 300,00 square foot high school designed to meet the needs of our learners today and into the future. The school was designed with collaboration and innovation at the forefront of its architecture. The Technology Department led projects in classroom projection and engagement, small and large group meeting spaces, networking, telephones, print media, security, digital signage and more. Through this project, working from design to groundbreaking to opening, many lessons were learned. The purpose of this session is to share those lesson in a top 10 list format to guide others who are tasked with choosing technology now to incorporate into new schools.
