K-12's traditional approach of using devices until they can no longer function and then recycling it for minimal returns is no longer optimal. Recognizing the immense potential for the edtech ecosphere to contribute to national sustainability efforts, CoSN and our partner SETDA firmly believe in integrating eco-friendly practices, energy-efficient hardware, and sustainable software solutions within educational institutions. By doing so, we not only reduce the ecological footprint but also instill in students a profound understanding of environmental challenges and the importance of embracing sustainable practices.
Panelists will highlight the key sustainability challenges and suggest resources that would support schools and districts in building their own technology sustainability plans.
