With a passion for advancing cyber awareness and safety in educational settings, Jennifer Lotze brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the forefront. As an accomplished professional in the field of education and technology, Jennifer has dedicated her career to supporting the mission, vision, and values of various organizations.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Cross Categorical Special Education and English, along with a minor in Secondary Education, from Carthage College in 2006. Complementing her undergraduate studies, she also obtained certifications in K-12 Cross Categorical Special Education and 6-12 English. Building upon this foundation, Jennifer pursued a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, awarded in May 2012, with a thesis focus on Assistive Technology and AAC.
Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning - Technology at Hudson School District in Hudson, WI, Jennifer oversees and plans informational and instructional technology initiatives. Her responsibilities include budgeting, professional development, and incident response planning at the district level. Furthermore, she is actively engaged in statewide initiatives, serving as the K-12 lead on the Wisconsin Critical Infrastructure Cyber Security Grant Working Group and the Cyber Security Curriculum working group.
In addition to her district-level role, Jennifer holds leadership positions at the state level. She was previously the Chair and is currently an At Large Board Member for the Wisconsin Educational Technology Leaders organization.
Jennifer is a recognized expert in the field, holding certifications such as CETL (Certified Educational Technology Leader), Google Education Trainer, and Google Level 2 Certified Educator. Jennifer has also been a key presenter at various state and national conferences, addressing topics ranging from technology for special educators to cybersecurity at events like ISTE, CoSN Conference, and the Governor’s Cyber Security Summit.
