Data can be invaluable for supporting student equity, but what does that look like? Data equity involves applying an equity lens and mindset to the ways in which districts collect, analyze, interpret, communicate, and make decisions based on data with the goals of acknowledging and addressing historic and systemic bias and building more equitable policies, practices, and systems. Data equity, which relies on a holistic view of students' access, opportunity, and experiences, is extremely challenging without data interoperability. In this session facilitated by Project Unicorn and Digital Promise, you'll learn how Kent School District and Morris School District leverage interoperable data to improve student equity.
